HAGERSTOWN, MD - Zach Smith scored 26 points, but the Baltimore City Panthers fell to the mighty Hagerstown Hawks be the score of 95-68. The Hawks improve to 11-9 on the season and 1-0 in Region 20 Division I play while the Panthers fall to 8-9 and 0-2 respectively.
The Hawks came out firing from the get go as they were able to spread the scoring around with 60 points from their bench. Baltimore City answered back with the trio of Smith, Marquise Delahaye, and Blake Neverdon doing their best to keep the road Panthers in the game.
Smith added 6 rebounds to go with his game high 26 points. Delahaye scored 14 and Neverdon narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Kut Deng scored 6 followed by Antonio Fliggigs with 5 and Carlos Green scoring 4.
The Panthers will look to rebound quickly when they travel to the Navy Prep team on Thursday, January 25 at 6:30 PM.
