ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Baltimore City Panthers were able to hold onto a tight win as they prevailed over the Navy JV team 67-66. The victory pulls the Panthers back to a .500 record at 9-9 as they look to build momentum for the second half of the season.
Kut Deng put together one of his best games of the season with 18 points on 7-9 shooting from the floor to lead the team. Marquise Delahaye scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds while Blake Neverdon scored 15 points thanks to a trio from long range. The Panthers had nine different point scorers in the game as they were able to get key contributions throughout the whole roster to secure the narrow win.
The Panthers will face another tough road test and play a third game in four days as they travel to Frederick on Saturday, January 27 for a 3 PM tip-off. The Frederick Cougars are 8-7 on the season and 3-4 against Maryland Juco opponents for the year.
