Box Score Christiana, DEL. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated Delaware Tech Community College 68-33 on Thursday night.
 


The Lady Panthers got out to a quick lead and with the lead 11-10 with 14:14 in the first half the Lady Panthers went on a 20-1 run over the next 10:00.
 
The Lady Panthers went into the break with a 35-17 lead.
 
In the second half it was more the same as the Lady Panthers raced out to a 23-6 run to really put the clamps on the game. The Lady Panthers lead by as many as 36 points.

The Lady Panthers out-rebounded the Lady Spirit 50-32 in the game and scored 16 second chance points.

Del Tech had one player in double figures, Classie Graves had 12 points.

For the Lady Panthers, Michelle Wright (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) posted a double-double  with 26  points and 11 rebounds and once again having eight steals for the second straight game.

Point guards Danaira Duncan (Baltimore, Md./Coppin Academy) and Kai Wyatt (Baltimore, Md./MATHS HS) combined for 20 points and six rebounds.

Tache Smothers (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim HS) finished the game with a game-high 12 rebounds while having eight points, three assists and three steals.  

Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md./Carver Vo-Tech) ended the game with seven points and seven boards and Alexis Wade (Raleigh, NC/Southeast Raleigh HS) had nine rebounds, four assists and four steals.
 
The Lady Panthers will be in the P.E. Center on Saturday, January 24^th to take on Hagerstown Community College for a 1 p.m. game with the chance to move to second or first place in the conference. Currently the Lady Panthers are third in the MD JUCO.

General admissions will be $5, $2 for BCPS with a valid I.D. and free for all BCCC faculty, staff and student with a valid I.D.
