Box Score TAKOMA PARK, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated Montgomery College 74-53 on Wednesday night. BCCC improves to 18-6, 9-1 MD JUCO.
The Lady Panthers trailed 14-9 with 12:33 in the opening half. Over the next four minutes the Lady Panthers outscored the Lady Raptors 10-0 to take a 19-14 lead and never looked back.
BCCC finished the half on a 14-7 run to take a 33-21 lead into the break.
Midway through the second half the Lady Panthers defense sank their claws in defensively and found themselves up by as many as 29 points (62-33).
The Lady Panthers outrebounded the Lady Raptors 52-35 and outscored them in the paint 48-20. The Lady Panthers defense held their opponent to 30.6 percent shooting from the field.
For the Lady Raptors, Jerbria Smith scored 19 points.

Michelle Wright (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) posted her 16
th double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals and two blocks.
Asia Brittingham (Baltimore, Md./Friendship Academy) finished the game with 15 points and five rebounds and
Danaira Duncan (Baltimore, Md./Coppin Academy) contributed with 13 points, five boards and four assists.
Amia Howard (Baltimore, Md./Benjamin Franklin HS) also had a double-double with 14 boards and 10 points.
The Lady Panthers will take their last regular-season road game on Saturday, January 31
st against Anne Arundel Community College in Severn, Md. at 1 p.m.
