DOVER, DE - Blake Neverdon dominated the game on both sides of the court as he was able to lead the Baltimore City Panthers past Delaware Tech 71-58.
With the Panthers playing without star sophomore guard Zach Smith, it was Neverdon who stepped up for the team as he scored 24 points with 9 rebounds in a huge game for the freshman forward. Marquise Delahaye had a nice bounce back game with 18 points and 7 rebounds while Carlos Green took on a bigger role to score 10 points with 5 assists.
Kut Deng added 7 points and 8 rebounds while Joshua Bryant filled up the box score with 6 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Keith Henderson Jr. chipped in 6 points for the Panthers while Ifanieye Lewis took on the distributor role with a team leading 6 assists and 5 steals.
The Panthers will finish up their grueling eight game road trip as they travel to Allegany College of Maryland on 22 hours of rest with a 6 PM tip-off on Wednesday, February 14. The Trojans sit on top of the Region 20 Division I standings at 1-0 and are 20-5 overall on the season.
