BALTIMORE, MD - A great start for Baltimore City was not enough as the Panthers fell to the Monroe Mustangs 99-60 on a night when the Panthers honored their three sophomores on sophomore day. The regular season finale saw the Panthers fall to 12-15 on the season while Monroe improves to 23-7 on the year.
The Panthers couldn't miss early on, hitting six of their first eight from behind the arc as a

Marquise Delahaye layup put the Panthers ahead 24-19.
Antonio Fliggins would hit a three pointer and a mid-range jump shot to try and prevent Monroe from gaining momentum as the Mustangs led 39-31 with seven minutes left in the first half. Monroe would go on to make a 20-0 run over the next eight minutes to dig a hole too deep for the Panthers to overcome.
Neverdon finished the game with 15 points followed closely by
Kut Deng with 12. Delahaye scored eight while sophomores Fliggins,
Carlos Green,
Zach Smith and all contributed in their final game on the Baltimore City home court.Â
The Panthers will head into the postseason now as they prepare to face the #3 seed and tournament host Allegany College of Maryland on Thursday, March 14 at 7 PM. The two teams have faced each other twice already, splitting the season series at 1-1.
