Roger Dickens coached the men’s basketball team at the Community College of Baltimore (CCB) and later Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) from 1982-2007. Under Dickens, the Red Devils won the 1985 Metro Conference Championship and the 1994 Maryland JUCO Championship.

The 1997-98 season was an extremely successful one as the Red Devils won the MD JUCO and Region XX Tournament titles and finished fifth in the nation at the NJCAA National Tournament. Dickens played for BCCC Hall of Fame Coach Jerry Phipps from 1973-75. During that time, the Red Devils won two Maryland AA JUCO Championships and the 1975 Region XX title. Dickens was named Most Valuable Player of the 1975 Region XX Tournament.

In 2007, he was inducted into the BCCC Athletics Hall of Fame. Currently, Dickens is a Recruiter and Counselor in the Office of Admissions. Dickens has two sons, Roger and Rashard, with his wife Cheryl.
