Tony Carter was an assistant coach with the men’s basketball team at the Community College
of Baltimore (CCB) and later Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) from 1982-2007. Carter and BCCC Hall of Fame Coach Roger Dickens led the Red Devils for 25 seasons. The duo’s accomplishments include winning the 1985 Metro Conference Championship, the 1994 Maryland JUCO Championship, the 1998 MD JUCO and Region XX Tournament titles and a fifth-place finish in the 1998 NJCAA National Tournament.

Carter played basketball at CCB from 1972-74 for BCCC Hall of Fame Coach Jerry Phipps, during which time the Red Devils won two Maryland AA JUCO Championships. After his CCB days, Carter transferred to Coppin State College where he graduated in 1978. He currently works at the Department of Mental Health and Mental Hygiene in Baltimore, Md. Carter and wife Sarah have three children: Tony, Ashley and Alana.
